Kropp Environmental Contractors, Inc. (KEC), a full-service environmental contracting and consulting firm, is seeking a self-motivated, Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) or Environmental Professional to join our team in North Franklin, Connecticut. As a member of the company’s Consultation and Engineering Team, this position will serve the federal, state, commercial, and industrial sectors from initial Phase I environmental site assessments through remedial investigations, feasibility studies and voluntary remediation programs (VRP).

Position Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Engineering, Geological Sciences, or Environmental Sciences.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in site assessment and remediation.
- Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) License required.
- Experience with designing and implementing simple to complex environmental site investigations, including experience across all environmental media involving innovative, direct sensing, and conventional investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with CT Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs).
- Excellent technical writing skills with demonstrated technical experience, including preparing site investigation reports, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, cost estimates, remediation system designs, bidding documents and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and personal communication skills; ability to successfully interact with clients, staff, and peers clearly and directly.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of site characterization, monitoring, remediation projects, project close and reporting across all environmental media
- Technical leadership and staff management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, Access, Project, and Excel.
- Ability to travel, work in the field, work outdoors, and lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Author and revise technical reports including Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, Remedial Action Plans (RAPs) Remedial Action Reports (RARs) and VRP reports.
- Develop and oversee environmental investigation and remediation projects for a variety of sites within Connecticut. Manage key projects, provide technical expertise and lead project implementation. Ensure client deliverable deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate field services including groundwater monitoring well installation, soil boring, and groundwater elevation surveys.
- Mentor junior KEC environmental scientists, demonstrate leadership, and conduct peer review.
- Maintain relations with existing clients. Conduct new business development involvement.
- Communicate with CTDEEP officials regarding remediation projects as required.
- Create cost estimates and proposals for ongoing and potential projects to expand KEC market opportunities.
- Management of subcontractors and development of subcontractor agreements.
- Monthly invoice and status report preparation.
