Director, Environmental Affairs
Eversource Energy is looking to fill a Director, Environmental Affairs opening. Reporting to the Vice President, Sustainability and Environmental Affairs this role manages a team of ~35 environmental professionals across Compliance, Remediation, and Field Response across our CT, MA, and NH service territory. Ensures company-wide compliance with environmental laws, permitting, audits, and reporting (including air emissions and TSCA/PCB issues). Leads investigation and remediation of contaminated sites, demolition/decontamination, and real estate due diligence. Oversees emergency response programs, spill management, and asbestos compliance. Advises senior leadership on environmental risks, develops policies, and represents the company in regulatory and industry forums. Requires broad technical knowledge, strong leadership, and communication skills. Bachelor’s in environmental science or engineering; advanced degree preferred. 12+ years’ experience, including 8 in management; professional certifications desirable.
